How to stop shutdown Windows





Let’s think about you are working on your computer and accidentally press the hardware button to turn-off computer. Or maybe you are installing some software and it starts restarting the computer. In that case if you have any application opened which contains the unsaved work it shows up the prompt what to do? You can usually choose from one of the three choices – Yes, No and Cancel.

If you press Cancel, Windows aborts the shutdown process and you can continue in your work. But you should consider that some processes could terminate in order to shutdown computer, so it’s always better to restart your computer as soon as possible, though.

What to do, if Windows starts to shutdown the computer?

If you would choose Cancel, Notepad should stay opened. There are the utilities on the web what you can use to stop unwanted shutdown the PC, so consider this tip just as the last chance if you haven’t installed one.
